Message:
Dear Director Creagh,
I am writing to urge your support of USG Corporation’s plan to expand its quarry in Alabaster. I am confident USG is committed to ensuring the proposal meets the Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ key priorities for managing the public’s lands and minerals.
I support USG’s plan because it will extend the life span of a key driver of Michigan’s economy and allow USG to continue supplying Michigan companies that depend on gypsum. Equally important, USG’s proposal will enhance our outdoor recreation and natural resources with a payment to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund and Michigan Parks Endowment.
USG has been a valued part of the Michigan community and economy for more than 115 years, and I support the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible and sustainable operations. I urge you and the DNR to fully support the immediate implementation of USG’s plan to help build a better and brighter Michigan.
Sincerely,
(Your Name)
